If your Homepage and About page are your static storefront, your Blog is your hardworking salesperson continuously searching for new leads every day. By writing and sharing your expertise, you consistently pull strangers into your awareness funnel (Know - Like - Trust).
Your blog is not a personal diary: Customers do not really care what you ate today or where you traveled. They read your articles to solve their own problems. Focus 100% on providing solutions and professional knowledge.
1. Initialize and master your workspace
Before writing, set up your workspace so you don't get lost: Open the List View (the 3-horizontal-lines icon) on the left to see your article's structural overview, and open the Settings column on the right to customize features.
From the left admin menu, select Posts → click Add New Post.
Type your article title into the largest text area at the top.
Check the Permalink: Ensure the URL is about 5-7 words long, contains the main keyword, removes meaningless words, and makes sense when read aloud.
Press Enter to drop to a new line and start typing your content. You can reuse the slash / shortcut (as learned in the Intro to Block Editor guide) to insert images, videos, or lists.
2. Categorize and optimize display
To make your article search-engine friendly while remaining appealing to humans, configure the Settings column on the right (ensure the Post tab is selected):
Categories: Check the appropriate topic to group your articles.
Featured Image & Alt Text: Upload a crisp image as your Featured Image. Always fill in the Alt Text field so search engines understand what the image is about. Prioritize real photos you took yourself to build trust.
Excerpt (For Readers): Write 2-3 compelling sentences containing a curiosity hook. This will appear on your Blog layout to entice readers to click. You can absolutely use catchy or emotional language here.
SEO Meta Description (For Google Machines): Located in the Meta description of the SEO tool. DO NOT just copy and paste the Excerpt. Rewrite it into a single core message (under 160 characters) that directly states the solution or outcome the article provides. Search engines need strict accuracy, not flowery language.
3. Schedule and publish
You don't have to watch the clock to publish manually. The system allows you to fully automate your publishing schedule.
Save draft: Click Save draft in the top right corner. (Note: The system auto-saves, so do not worry too much if you accidentally close your browser).
Automated scheduling: Click on the word Immediately in the settings panel. A calendar will pop up; simply select the desired date and time, then click Schedule.
Publish immediately: If your post is perfect, click the blue Publish button twice to make the article live on the internet.
Best Practices to retain readers
💡 Anatomy of a professional blog post SEO
Heading Control: Look at the List View on the left to ensure your Heading 3 (H3) tags act as child elements completely nested within the context of a Heading 2 (H2). Never skip heading levels.
The 3-Sentence Rule & Rhythm: Never write a paragraph longer than 3 sentences. Mobile readers will suffocate from a "wall of text" and bounce.
Insert images for visual rest: When a text block gets too long, insert a genuine photo in between. Images do not just illustrate; they act as a resting stop for the reader's eyes. Avoid "walls of text" at all costs.
Call to Action pattern: Design a beautiful Call to Action block at the end of your post, save it as a Synced Pattern, and reuse it quickly for all future articles.
🎨 Tips to retain readers
The Art of Linking Never let your article become a "dead end" (containing zero links), or search engines will penalize it.
Internal Links (Funneling): Highlight a phrase, press Ctrl + K, and type the name of an older post on your website. This keeps customers on your site longer (Converting Know → Trust).
External Links (Verification): When mentioning a person, tool, or external organization, insert a link to their page to prove the information is real. Always remember: When inserting an external link, click the pencil icon (Edit) → Advanced → Check Open in new tab. This ensures the customer does not completely bounce off your website.
🎯 Next step: You have now mastered all the skills to build your storefront and publish content. It is time to connect these pieces to generate revenue. Move on to the next section: Setting up an automated Sales Funnel.
